PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

Trim beef, veal, lamb, and pork to meet portion control and quality standards.

DUTIES AND SUPPORT TASKS:

Provide support in the following areas when needed upon request:

  • Package products and operate both Cryovac machines
  • Set up and operate large Cryovac machine
  • Apply proper films and date labels
  • Run product through machines using correct settings
  • Operate double chamber Cryovac machine
  • Bulk Cryovac product in proper pouches
  • Assist in stocking steak products in the main cooler as needed

Full Time: 10:00-Finish during training, 7:30-Finish thereafter
qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Primary Skill: Must be able to trim beef, veal, lamb, and pork to company specifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing work schedules
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) as trained
  • Comfortable working in a cold (41°F) and wet environment
  • Ability to lift up to 85 lbs
  • Perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and handle multiple tasks
  • Handle product according to safety and quality specifications

experience:
  • Experience with steak trimming.

skills:
  • Ability to pass a “block test” for trimming accuracy and speed

compensation:

$19.00 per hour
