Product Data Manager

Responsibilities will include the following areas.

1. Project Management

* Product Data Management through Data Pool on behalf of Recipient Distribution Division

  • Manage and organize inbound data published via Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) to Data Pool from Supplier Partners.
  • Communicate product data discrepancies with Suppliers and Brokers and consistently manage inbound data.
  • Onboard new Suppliers in coordination with the Purchasing team and ensure data sync.
  • Work with Marketing to source images and enhance digital content for product data.
  • Work with IT team to coordinate effective display of product data within our customer facing digital catalog. Inclusive of internal ordering system Specification sheets.
  • Coordinate with Supplier/Broker data teams to set-up, troubleshoot and maintain GDSN connections.

* GDSN Supplier Publication Management on behalf of Supplier division

  • Manage and maintain product data accuracy from in-house manufactured items including nutritionals, marketing messages, core information and allergens.
  • Work with manufacturing entity to maintain accurate product data and publish changes as necessary.
  • Manage Active/Inactive Item Status
  • Administrate GTIN assignment in coordination with manufacturing entity.
  • Manage Product Staging within Syndigo to review daily inbound Supplier Publications and alert Purchasing to necessary updates
  • Work with team to resolve data transfer issues within internal systems

* Create and Manage Product Data of Non-GDSN Suppliers on behalf of Distribution Division

  • Initiate View My Product relationships with non-GDSN suppliers to encourage accurate product data.
  • Upload images in coordination with Marketing and/or the Supplier/Broker
  • Manage Active/Inactive Item Status

2. Data Management

* Data Audits (GS1)

  • Review information in critical systems
  • Work with internal and external partners to resolve errors and gaps
  • Effectively communicate errors and gaps to Supplier partners and track progress/follow up
  • Provide summary report of accuracy and improvement plan

* Maintain Customer data publication (For the Manufacturing Entity)

3. Other Responsibilities

  • Work with Marketing to distribute/share digital assets as needed for POS
  • Maintain existing POS/Marketing Flyers and make item list revisions as needed
  • Work with purchasing team to audit supplier onboarding process and seek improvements
  • Ensure communication between Purchasing, IT and Marketing on all pertinent GDSN issues

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (business, IT) or commensurate experience

experience:
  • Experience working with a GDSN Data Pool is desired. Communications or digital marketing experience is also beneficial in this position.
  • 1-3 year’s relevant experience
  • Experience in food-related field preferred

compensation:

Salary Range: $60,000 and up depending on experience
