Inventory Control Specialist

Job Description:

  • Perform counts and review records to keep inventory correct.
  • While performing cycle counts assure slots are neat and fix damages.
  • Complete full cycle count of warehouse on a monthly basis.
  • Run date sensitive reports, count inventory and manage dates in the system.
  • Work with buyers to manage out of date product. Send buyer out of date reports.
  • Review purchases and sales to investigate inventory off issues.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and product movement.
  • Review lost sales report and investigate out of stocks.
  • Back up Inventory Control Manager in his absence.
  • Assist Inventory Manager assigning new slots and making slot changes.
  • Daily cycle counts of special products including poultry and seafood.

qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
experience:
  • Must have 6-12 months of experience using electric pallet jacks and stand-up reach truck forklifts.

skills:
  • Possess good verbal and written communication, math and personal computer skills.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills when dealing with co-workers.
  • Ability to work independently, stays well organized and able to multi-task in a high paced, always changing environment.
  • Must be able to work in cooler and freezer conditions, as well as in dry and dock areas.
  • Must be able to transport heavy loads up to 100lbs.

compensation:
